Patty is Director of Public Affairs and Legislative Counsel for the Texas chapter of the American Federation of Teachers. Originally from Laredo, TX, Patty has worked as an advocate for public educators since 2004, with prior experience as a budget and policy analyst for the Texas Legislative Budget Board. Patty is a joint-degree recipient from the University of Texas School of Law and the University of Texas LBJ Graduate School of Public Affairs. Patty serves on the board of the Worker’s Assistance Program and Our Schools Our Democracy.
