With experience in television production, editorial guidance, and media design, Lorna serves as Every Texan’s Deputy Director of Communications. She left news to join Every Texan in 2023 to have her hand in making policy change, not just reporting it. As Deputy Communications Director, Lorna coordinates with media partners, key stakeholders, and digital audiences to design and implement our messaging across web, social, and newsletter platforms. 

Prior to pursuing an interest in public policy and strategic communication, Lorna worked as a television producer, bringing national and local news to Austinites every morning. Using her background in audience engagement, digital marketing, writing, and video production, she creates accessible content that resonates with everyday Texans with broad lived experiences. Lorna graduated from The University of Georgia in 2021 summa cum laude with two degrees in Journalism and Psychology and a minor in Criminal Justice.
