Omar Gamboa joined Every Texan in 2026 and works to strengthen Texans’ access to public benefits. His focus is on affordable childcare, paid leave, and income supports. Omar is passionate about expanding opportunity so that every Texas child, family, and neighbor has the support they need to thrive.

Before joining Every Texan, Omar transitioned from the classroom to public policy. After several years as a teacher in Austin ISD, he earned his master’s degree from the LBJ School of Public Affairs and gained experience at the Texas Legislature and Congress. Omar worked on issues including higher education, immigration, and democratic engagement.
