Parisa Fatehi-Weeks, Executive Director
Parisa Fatehi-Weeks is Executive Director of Every Texan, a 40-year old organization that strengthens public policy so that every Texan, including the most vulnerable among us, can thrive. Previously, she was Global Head of Social Impact for Indeed, where her team aimed to make the world of work more equitable and inclusive. Parisa has been an adjunct professor of poverty law at the University of Texas School of Law and spent seven years leading digital inclusion work at Google.
One of her most formative career experiences was as Staff Attorney at Public Advocates, a nonprofit civil rights law firm in San Francisco, where she worked hand in hand with low-income communities of color for climate justice and equitable housing + transit policies. Prior to that, she was a law clerk for the U.S. District Court in Houston and worked for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in Washington, D.C.
She is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, where she was student body president and received her B.A., J.D. and Master’s in public affairs. Parisa served as Board Chair for HousingWorks Austin and Board President for the Workers Defense Project for several years and currently serves on the Boards of Austin PBS and the National Digital Inclusion Alliance.
My book of the year: “Lion Women of Tehran”
My hobbies: Going to outdoor music festivals
Something surprising about me: Despite bleeding burnt orange as a longhorn, Parisa shocked herself and married an Oklahoman who cheers for the Sooners.
