Wade G. Chappell
Wade G. Chappell is a ninth-generation Texan and Fort Worth native whose career weaves together small business ownership, community service, and public policy to expand opportunity and wellbeing for Texans. A government relations leader in the data center and infrastructure sector, he operates at the crossroads of economic development, energy policy, and local governance, helping communities navigate complex growth decisions that impact working families across the state. His service includes chairing the Social Enterprise Committee at Presbyterian Night Shelter, where he helped grow UpSpire and its employment partnerships, and working with the Day Resource Center for the Homeless, which deepened his understanding of the barriers to stable housing and dignified work. Wade’s tenure on the Fort Worth Parks and Recreation Advisory Board underscored the importance of open spaces for mental health and informed his personal mission of “better mental health through more outdoor recreation,” a vision he advanced by spearheading new mountain bike trails and outdoor amenities as Executive Director of the Historic Camp Bowie Public Improvement District. As a former independent restaurant owner, he has witnessed his employees’ struggles with food security, health care access, immigration challenges, and a volatile political climate for workers and employers, experience that now informs his statewide work with local governments, utilities, and community partners to pursue responsible digital and energy infrastructure investment that delivers quality jobs, sustainable land use, and stronger local tax bases. Blair, his wife, is a Marketing Specialist at Cook Children’s Hospital in Fort Worth and their two children are Fort Worth Independent School District students.
