The six Every Texan fellows are leaders from across the state of Texas that are committed to working towards creating real change in higher education policy.
The six Policy Leaders of Tomorrow fellows are a cohort of current undergraduate students from across the state of Texas working to improve the quality of Texas lives through access to and a reimagination of Texas Higher Education. Through critically analyzing current policies coupled with experiencing the inequities that dictate their reality, these fellows are committed to seeing change and participating in facilitating and supporting that change.
With a wide array of interests, a shared principle among the cohort is a desire to move towards social justice. By identifying issues they are passionate about within higher education, they have isolated the policy areas they feel are in need of assistance and tangible change. From transformative justice to college affordability to health care access, these fellows are focused on removing barriers for marginalized students in academic spaces and improving their experiences.
Every fellow included in this program has drive, passion, and purpose, and we are honored that they’ve decided to join Every Texan in its path towards creating a more equitable Texas. They have all demonstrated that they are leaders, thinkers, and advocates for change in their own ways, and as they set out on this journey, we at Every Texan are excited to see the kind of impact they will have now and in the future.
