From the Desk of Our CEO: Post-Election Reflections

We know this week has been difficult for many of our loved ones, communities, partners, and friends, and we are still processing everything that has happened. This is an uncertain time, yet one thing remains clear: now is not the time to back down. We must continue to push forward.

At Every Texan, one of our core values is grit – we work steadily with passion, conviction, and perseverance. We are unshakeable. While the journey ahead will undoubtedly present challenges, we are resolved in our dedication to build a Texas rooted in our shared vision for prosperity for all.

Our work to create a just and equitable Texas doesn’t begin or end with a single election; it’s a daily commitment that endures beyond any individual cycle or outcome. As we have for 39 years, Every Texan is working to build resilient, inclusive infrastructure for long-term positive change.

In these challenging times, you may be wondering what you can do to make an impact. By staying informed, active, and connected with groups and organizations that share your values, you fuel meaningful change. Our greatest strength is in our people — we can’t do this without YOU.

As you make your action plan, please consider including a gift to support Every Texan. The fight ahead takes sustained resources and engagement, and we need you in it with us for the long haul. By joining our monthly giving program, The Collective, you can ensure Every Texan is ready for what’s to come, starting with the 2025 Legislative Session, where our team will be on the ground around the clock pushing for better public schools, quality health care, safe working conditions and livable wages, fair taxes, a stronger democracy, and services that support our common good.

Today and every day, we stand with our communities and all who believe in the power of collective action. Together, we will build the Texas we know is possible and the future we know we deserve.

Forward together,

Marisa Bono and the Every Texan Team
